Core pillars to address
- Sleep and circadian rhythm: Establish consistent sleep/wake timing, morning light exposure, and a wind-down routine to support appetite regulation, insulin sensitivity, and recovery.
- Stress regulation: Build daily down-regulation practices (mindful meditation, breathing, yoga, time outdoors) to support cortisol balance and reduce stress-related cravings.
- Movement and exercise progression: Create a program matched to the client’s current tolerance and limitations, progressing toward a balanced routine of strength training, aerobic conditioning, and flexibility/mobility.
- Nutrition and gut-metabolic health: Focus on whole-food meals that support digestion, stable blood sugar, adequate protein and fiber, and healthy fats; address gut health and nutrient sufficiency as needed.
Individualized program design
Using intake data, and may include nutrition targets (protein/fiber goals, meal timing, hydration), gut-support strategies, stress/sleep routines, and a movement progression. The plan is adjusted based on tolerance, symptoms, and progress to keep weight loss sustainable.
